San Antonio, TX, April 25, 2024 – Gov2Biz Inc., a leader in government technology solutions has been awarded the prestigious Gold Stevie® Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year category. This accolade recognizes Gov2Biz’s Port of Entry Tax Collection System. Deployed at the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), dubbed POETCS, this system thwarts the import of illicit liquor, and underage drinking.

The Gov2Biz’s port of entry solution with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission was recognized for boosting regulatory compliance and public safety at Texas-Mexico border crossings. It helped state officials identify, disallow and destroy illicit liquor entering through the border. As legal age for purchasing and consuming alcoholic products is different internationally, it is for underage persons to acquire alcohol, and bring it across the ports of entry. The POE system allows state officials to identify and intercept such cases, while at the same time, making it easy for legal importation to breeze through the crossings.
